  • After you config the JDBC Driver, you can do the export operation. It means, you can select the exported tables from the Oracle Database, and assign the target where the tables should exported to.
    1. Select Export Database Format

      Set the target database format

After do this step, please click the Next button to go to the next step.

    2. Set the Source Database Connection Properties

The first step, you should assign which Driver Config should be used to build the source database connection.

All the Oracle JDBC Driver configs configged before will show in the JDBC Driver list,

After you have selected the correct JDBC Configs, the window will show the information about this JDBC Configs, and show a JDBC URL example syntax for build a connection, and the properties you can set when build connection.

Here i input an example for export data, you can change the properties accord your needs.

After do this step, please click the Next button to go to the next step.

    3. Set the Target Database Connection Properties

The first step, you should assign which Driver Config should used to build the target database connection.

All the dBASE, Foxbase, Foxpro, and VFP JDBC Driver configs configged before will show in the JDBC Driver list,

After you have select the correct JDBC Configs, the window will show the information about this JDBC Configs, and show a JDBC URL example syntax for build a connection, and the properties you can set when build connection. Here you should assign the target dBASE, Foxbase, Foxpro, and VFP database connection properties, for example, dBASE, Foxbase, Foxpro, and VFP file path, the other properties.

After do this step, please click the Next button to go to the next step.

    4. Select the Tables for Export

The first step, you should select the schema. All schemas your connection can access will show in the Select Source Catalogs List, by default, it will automatic select the first item in this list. If you change the selected item at this list, you will find the tables in "Table List" would change, it will list all tables your connection can access owned by your selected schema.

You should assign the selected table would export to which catalog in target database. All catalogs will been showed in the "Select Dest" list.

You can create new catalog by click the "Create catalog" button. It will create the new catalog accord name you input.

After you selected the tables which wanted to been exported and assign the target catalog, you can click the ">>" button to set exported tables. If you want to remove the tablex which have been set to exported, you can click the "<<" button after you select the them from the right listbox.

After do this step, please click the Next button to go to the next step.
    5. Confirm all the Export Tables

This step is used to let you confirm all the tables exported to the target tables. Here you remove all the tables you don't want to export to the target tables.

    6. Confirm all the Existed Tables

This step is used to let you confirm all the exported tables which have existed in the target tables. If the tables have existed in the target database, maybe you hope confirm whether the tables is really want to be exported. If you're very sure that you want to export the tables, you just click the Next button.

You can remove multi table when click "Remove the selected tables" button or "Remove tables which export to target" button. The difference is that if you click the "Remove the selected tables" will remove the selected tables in "Table Exported Existed Table" list and the "Remove tables which export to target" will remove all tables exported the target tables you selected in "Existed Target Tables" list.

    7. Confirm all the New Created Tables

This step is used to let you confirm the tables would be created in the target database, here you change one column type's size and scale for a table, or remove the exported tables if you want create the tables in target database.

Here maybe you should pay a little attention to the table which marked with pink color. It shows one column of this table is not compatiable with the new column in size or scale. In the follows picture, the selected column has the 2000 size , but the new column type has maxiumn 255 size, so it maybe not compatiable.

The table marked with normal color(black) will show all columns of it is complete compatiable to all columns of new created table.

Though we don't advise you change the column type in new created tables, but if you really to do so and confirm it is no any type convert problem, you can change the column type ,and the size, and the scale. You should select the expected column type ,and maybe you should set the new size and new scale too, and then click the "Set This Column" button. If you forget click this button , the change will be invalid.

After you changed the column type in new created tables, you can find the column you changed just will marked with red color. It show that this column have been set to a uncompatiable column type, and so, the table with the column wouldn't exported for type convert problem.

    8. Execute the Export Operation

This step is do the export operation accord the prior configuration.
Here you can config whether continue export the rest table when error happens in the procedure for exporting tables, and if you set continue export the rest table, you can config whether export the rest records of this table wich errors.
You can set how to handle the BFILE column type if this column type exists in the export tables. In default, this data in BFILE column will export to the table as a BLOB field. You can set saving the data in BFILE column to a directory, the filename will named as nn@tablename_filename (nn is the point index of this record in the table) .

Only after you check "Continue export the other table when error happens", you can checked "Continue expor the rest records when export a record failue".
The "Continue export the other table when error happens" checkbox is used to set whether continue export the rest table when error happens.
The "Continue expor the rest records when export a record failue" checkbox is used to set whether export the rest records of this table wich errors.

If you check "Oracle BFILE type save to local disk" checkbox, you can and should click the set button and assign where the BFILE type data should save.

After you configed, you can click the "Do Export" button,it will show the last dialog to let you confirm whether really export data.
