
Using the Tag Browser
The tag browser is a tool to allow you to graphically navigate the tags that you've used in your notes. All tags currently attached to a note are listed in the first column with the most-used tags at the top of the list. When a tag is selected two things will happen. First, the list of notes will be reduced to include only the notes that share the selected tags. Secondly, the next column in the tag browser will populate with the tags attached to the displayed notes, allowing you to repeat this process for the next column. As you navigate deeper in the browser, the notes list will become shorter and allow you to more easily locate relevent notes.
As an example, one could have design notes for a variety of websites tagged as "designnotes". Selecting that tag would then list all of the tags those notes share, such as the names of the websites. One could then select a site from the list and the notes list would shorten to just design notes about a particular site.
To toggle the Tag Browser:
- Select Show/Hide Tag Browser from the View menu, or press Command-Shift-B.
