How To:
- Add a new communication partner:
- add communication partner in the database: Manager−Record > New etc.
- Manager−Main > select record > UsePass > Communications− Record Partner > My New Public Key > Copy My Public Key > send public key to partner
- Copy a partner's public key > Paste a Partner's Public Key > Save
- Check if the verification code is same
- Send an message encrypted communication: Manager−Main > select record > UsePass > Communications−Derypted Message > write or paste text > press Encrypt > select Encrypted Message > Copy Text (or Save As File) > send encrypted message to partner
- Receive a encrypted message of communication: Manager−Main > select record > UsePass > Communications−Enrypted Message > paste encrypted text > press Dencrypt > select Decrypted Message > Copy Text
- Send a file encrypted communication: Manager−Main > select record > UsePass > Communications−Enc/Decryption File > select a file to encrypt > select a destination folder > press Encrypt > open destination folder > send encrypted file to partner
- Receive a file encrypted communication: Manager−Main > select record > UsePass > Communications−Enc/Decryption File > select a file to decrypt > select a destination folder > press Decrypt
FAQ
- What are public and private keys? − A public key is used to encrypt the message. A private key is used to decrypt the message (is stored encrypted in the database). Example: A send an encrypted message to B. A encrypts the message with the public key of B and B decrypts the message with its own private key.
- What happens if the public key is obtained by others? Nothing, it is public
