Recommandations
- First start
- Set your Master Password and HighSecurity Password. There are no default passwords for the Master Password and HighSecurity Password;
- For Master Password and HighSecurity Password the maximum number of characters is 50;
- Choose a set of passwords (Master + HighSecurity) that would be hard to guess. The Master and HighSecurity Passwords must be strong: they should contain UPPERCASE, lowercase, digits and symbols. They should contain a minimum of 16 characters and NOT full words, names or addresses;
- After familiarizing yourself with the application, you can reset it completely {Manager > Setting > ResetApp} and therefore set the new strong Master and HighSecurity Passwords;
- The Master and HighSecurity Passwords must be strong and hard to guess: they should contain UPPERCASE, lowercase, digits and symbols and have at least 16 characters (more safer) and NOT full words, names or addresses;
- When you grow up password version encrypts messages and files associated with it;
- Always keep a backup copy in case;
- After performing backup and restore operations we recommend erasing backup folder for increased security;
- Before to updating the PEM (Password & Encryption Manager) application a backup should be made, otherwise, data integrity can not be guaranteed;
- Replacing the Master and/or the HighSecurity Password: Leads to the modification of all passwords and therefore these must be replaced everywhere. The easiest way to do it is by using two devices (mobile device and desktop/laptop), one with the old passwords and messages and the other with the new ones.
