Configuration

The configuration of Spots can be done through the Options menu which contains the following menu items:

Leave trails

Show next pieces

Configuration

If you check the Leave trails menu item then when you move a Spot it will leave trails until it reaches its destination.

Checking the Show next pieces menu item will enable you to see the pieces (Spots) that will be droped at the next move. Unchecking it will make the game a bit more difficult.

By clicking on the Configuration menu item a dialog like the one bellow will appear:

• The Game type represents as it sais the game type. There are three predefined game types: Easy, Medium and Expert and a Custom game type. You can only score high scores on the first three game types. If you select the Custom game type then you can change: the grid size, minimum line size, the number of different color, how many pieces to draw at a time.

• The grid size represents the boars size. It can be set between 9x9 (9 lines by 9 columns) and 19x19.

• The minimum line size represents the minimum number of spots (pieces) in a straight line(horizontal,vertical or diagonal) and can be a number between 4 and the grid line size.

• The colors number represent how many different colors will be available in a game. The value must be a number between 2 and 9. Selecting a higher value will make the game harder.

• You can select how many Spots to draw at a time. The value must be a number between 1 and 9. Selecting a higher value will increase the game difficulty.
