How to Play Su Doku

A Su Doku is a puzzle of numbers. The objective of the game is to fill the board with numbers ranging from 1 to 9 while obeying the rules of the game. The rules of Su Doku state that every column, row, and 3x3 square must contain every number from 1 to 9. Stated differently, no number can be repeated within a row, column, or 3x3 square. Below is an example of a solved Su Doku puzzle. Notice that the first row contains every number from 1 to 9. Similarly, the first column and the first 3x3 square also contain every number from 1 to 9. This is true for every other row, column, and 3x3 square on the board.

Even though a Su Doku is a puzzle of numbers, no math is required to solve it. Instead, a solution is attained through logic. Therefore, to solve a Su Doku puzzle simply follow the rules and fill in the board until it is full. Below is an example of an unsolved Su Doku Puzzle.
