Synk scripts now work live, synchronizing your changes as you make them. This means that your data is always up to date, leaving you ready to grab your laptop and walk out the door without waiting for a sync, or always having an up-to-date backup waiting in the wings if you have a hard drive failure.
Synk now provides several script templates to minimize the amount of configuration you need to do for several common uses. Synk can also show you an associated help page when you use a template to tell you exactly what configuration is needed to get the script off the ground.
Synk 7’s interface has been simplified and cleaned up, making it easier than ever to set up your scripts and follow their progress. It even now includes an inline help area to guide you through resolving any conflicts or errors that should occur.
Use Synk’s new custom sharing technology on Macs running Mac OS X v10.6 or later to improve compatibility with special file permissions, as well as enabling live synchronization across multiple machines.
You can now group scripts into folders for easier organization.
When previewing Synk’s proposed actions (or when a conflict arises), you can now directly add items to the exclusion list from the previewing interface.
When using Synk’s archiving features, you’ll find that Synk now generates a single merged archive file tree, and contains a new interface for restoring old copies of files out of the archive.
You can now use Synk Pro to customize how Synk handles several types of attributes while making copies. This can be invaluable when working with the wide variety of servers, NASes, file sharing and networking protocols, and all of the wide variety of systems out in the world.
