Den här uppdateringen löser "NetBIOS Name Server Protocol spoofing" säkerhetsproblem i vissa Windows-baserade nätverk och diskuteras i Microsoft Security Bulletin MS00-047. Ladda ner nu för att förhindra en angripare från att missbruka de namnkonflikt och Namn Release mekanismer som ingår i Windows Internet Name Service (WINS).
Om en angripare utnyttjar detta problem, Windows 2000 och Windows NTA 4.0-datorer kan inte registrera ett namn på nätverket, eller så kan de förlora sin nuvarande namn registrering, vilket gör datorerna otillgängliga som nätverksresurser.
